My name is Katrina Ranchhod - and I am the founder and creative designer of Indie Bindi! I am so beyond grateful to be able to share this venture with you, and I thank you for all of the unconditional love and support.
So How Did We Start?
Being an Indian woman born and raised in the United States - I grew up surrounded by both the American and Eastern Indian customs. Going through the American school system, and then coming home to a family deeply rooted in Indian tradition and practices - I felt this interesting sense of cultural duality.
And over the years, I came to develop a strong appreciation of both my Indian and American roots that truly make me the woman I am today.
My family goes back generations, full of passionate and driven leaders that emigrated to this country in search of opportunity and self-fulfillment. And I am deeply grateful for the enriching opportunity that I have been given - to grow up with unlimited opportunity, in a country where I can embrace who I am wholeheartedly.
And I swore to myself that I would become the woman I needed when I was growing up, and show others what the world can be like when we focus on embracing differences and loving ourselves fully.
Indie Bindi is a physical representation of self-empowerment, diversity, and the intricate depth that culture brings into this world.
I believe that with Indie Bindi, we are creating a unique platform where we can embrace one another's uniqueness with loving arms.
